About the Role:
Troy's Towing Inc is looking for a sharp, reliable Dispatcher to join our fast-paced team in Detroit, MI! This is a critical role where you'll be the voice and backbone of our operations, connecting drivers with customers and keeping everything running smoothly around the clock.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and manage inbound service calls from customers, motorists, and roadside assistance programs
- Dispatch tow truck drivers to service locations in a timely and efficient manner
- Monitor driver locations and coordinate routing to maximize response times
- Maintain accurate logs of calls, service requests, and driver activity
- Communicate with law enforcement, motor clubs, and insurance providers as needed
- Provide customers with ETAs and updates on service status
- Handle high-pressure situations calmly and prioritize calls based on urgency
Requirements:
- Previous dispatching, call center, or logistics coordination experience preferred
- Strong communication and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with the Detroit metro area and local roadways
- Proficient with dispatch software, GPS tracking tools, or ability to learn quickly
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Calm, professional demeanor with strong problem-solving abilities
- High school diploma or GED required
